Maternity Staples | What I’m Wearing

September 6, 2015

Today was Father’s Day and I was stuck in the car for a few hours – travelling from my parent’s house to home to my husband’s parents house and back again! It called for comfort – and I turned to a couple of staples in my maternity wardrobe: the midi dress and a cape. If you’re pregnant, and don’t have these two items, it’s time to consider them! A midi dress is comfortable and polished; while a cape adds interest and a boho air, while being practical as well as a light jacket and cover up. I LOVE this new cape from St Frock, it’s a perfect shape and I love the pattern – it’s full of navy, yellow, greens, black and orange so will be able to be paired back with so many outfits. I’d love it with some denim shorts and a white shirt, or do as I have done and throw it over a black dress to add interest. I hope you had a great day today – and happy Father’s Day to all of the great dads out there, including my own x
