The $15 Striped Cold Shoulder Top | What I’m Wearing

Ok ladies, have I got a bargain for you today! One of the biggest trends coming into spring/summer 2016 is the off the shoulder and cold shoulder silhouette (see my post here for 20 affordable off the shoulder tops); and I must say I’m extremely happy about this trend!

Off the shoulder is actually an easy trend to pull off and suits most body shapes. It also shows off your décolletage which is always a good thing! But, if you’re just not into wearing a strapless bra, try a cold shoulder style. Next week on the blog I’m going to feature cold shoulder tops and dresses, however today as a bit of a warm up I’m wearing a super cute, striped cold shoulder top that’s an absolute steal. The main drawback is it only goes up to a size L which I would estimate as a size 12. I’m going to endeavour to find more size ranges to feature next week in similar styles.

So, the top I’m wearing today is from SheIn, is currently under $15 and is a really comfortable cotton-feel top. (As an aside, I do get a lot of questions about SheIn. In my time of working with SheIn I have been happy with most (I’d say about 90%) of my orders – some I’ve been extremely happy with. Most wash and wear well [although I do hand wash many items]. My top tips are to always check measurements, size up, and I try to only order items with good reviews and photos from customers.)

Today I had to run some errands after dropping miss 2.5 at junior kindy, so I wore the top with white jeans and my fave silver loafers from Betts. Super comfy and casual and appropriate for a gloomy/rainy Brisbane day. I could also see this top paired with cute shorts, a hat and sandals in summer; or a denim skirt and espadrilles for a slightly more dressed up casual feel. The best thing is – you can wear a real bra with it! It’s also floaty enough for me to lift to feed Audrey when needed. Happy, stripey days!
