Sponsored by the Essential Baby & Toddler Show
When Hannah was only a few months old, I attended my very first baby and toddler show.
I must admit I was unsure about what would be on show, and wondered if it would be worth my while. Well, the skeptic in me was well and truly silenced as I came out of that show with more goodies, info and new ideas than I could poke a stick at. Some of the products and ideas I picked up that day, I am STILL USING. Yes, that’s nearly five years later. It was well and truly worth my while.
That’s why I was excited when I was asked to let you all know about The Essential Baby & Toddler Show (presented by WattleHealth), which arrives at the Brisbane Exhibition Conference & Exhibition Centre next month.
Yes, I will be there with bells on. You might be thinking, ‘Jasmine, you have two kids already, surely you have this baby and kid thing down?’ (Umm, firstly thank you for your confidence in me but, errr, no I certainly don’t – I see parenting as a constant learning curve – hah! ) And now, as we are expecting our third in April (eek!) there’s one thing I have realised about parenting – is that you can never have too many new ideas.
Children are all different, and between my last baby (born in 2015) and now, there have been countless new inventions and innovative ideas to make parenting that little bit easier. I’m going to love getting back into the baby zone, whilst learning some new ideas to keep my toddler and primary-schooler entertained, healthy and safe.
If you’ve never attended a baby and children’s expo before, the Essential Baby & Toddler Show is the perfect place to start. Not only will be free, one-to-one advice; the best and newest products from around the world will be on show.
There’ll be all the brands you know and love including Love n Care, Silvercross, Redsbaby, Icandy, Jalna and Baby and Toddler Town – Bugaboo; with lots of new brands to discover as well.
In terms of advice, the Essential Baby & Toddler Show has all your needs covered with personalised, one-on-one consultations with the Breastfeeding Association, Australian Doula College, Gidget Foundation, Australian Dental Association, Parentline QLD, and Mater Mothers.
I’m excited to also check out the ‘Beginners Guide’ live forums which will cover a very wide range of topics including returning to work, a healthy body & mind, birth plans, breastfeeding, safe sleeping, toddler tantrums and more.
Another important part of the Show is the Mater Mothers First Aid for Babies courses which will be run during the show. These are a 90-minute course, and you can easily add them on to your ticket. Find out more about the courses here.
And, if you have little ones already, bring them along for the live performances! There will be Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly and more, plus meet and greets after the show to grab a pic.
