You would have to be living under a rock if you haven’t noticed the influx of gingham in stores this season. It is arguably this season’s hottest print/pattern and I adore it. The thing I like most about it is that it works really well for winter layered with jackets and boots, but it comes into its own in spring/summer. A gingham skirt, shorts, top or dress is the perfect new season update to your wardrobe, and will work so well with summer sandals, sneakers, wedges or heels.
Today I thought I’d show you how to wear a gingham dress for spring, by pairing this simple gingham smock dress from SheIn with some espadrilles and a natural straw bag (also one of this season’s hottest trends).
Black and white gingham is classic but I do like the fun take on it with red. This dress is very easy to wear, 100% cotton and I like the slight bell sleeves, too. What do you think?
(As an aside, I do get a lot of questions about SheIn. In my time of working with SheIn I have been happy with most of my orders – some I’ve been very happy with. Most wash and wear well [although I do hand wash many items]. My top tips are to always check measurements and fabric description carefully, size up, and I try to only order items with good reviews and photos from customers.)
*SheIn red gingham smock dress AUD$20.69 {I’m wearing size M and I am 158cm tall and usually a size 10} | Frankie and Co espadrilles (not current, similar here) | *Two French Birds moon bag AUD$89.95 | Target sunnies AUD$15
Are you loving gingham this season?
