Black Shorts, White Top | What I’m Wearing

So, it’s humid as anything right now. In fact, I’m sitting in front of a fan with a baby attached to me right now, feeling beads of sweat trickle down my forehead. It’s not pleasant and if you’re a sweater like me this is the worst time of the year. I was watching TV last night and whatever was on was set in a cold climate, and all I could focus on was how jealous I was that they were freezing their butts off! Thankfully, after two long years (actually, 12 long years as we never had air conditioning in our previous house either) we’re finally having the much wanted air conditioner installed tomorrow! I cannot wait. In the meantime, the cooler items in my wardrobe are getting quite the workout. 

Today I’m wearing a shorts and top combo, perfect for the ‘mum-drobe’ but also just a cute little polished outfit for everyday casual wear. I love embroidered lace and broderie, and this top is a cute little addition to the wardrobe. 

And funny story about these shorts. The day before I received them I pulled my old Sportsgirl faithfuls out of the cupboard and I discovered they had a huge hole in them. “I’ll have to get some new black shorts,” I remarked to the hubby, who just rolled his eyes at me, glancing at my bulging wardrobe. But seriously, black shorts are an absolute STAPLE, aren’t they gals?! Anyway the very next day I received a little package from the lovely gals at Frankie and Co and inside these cute and perfect ‘Ruby’ shorts were waiting for me! Did you read my mind, Frankie and Co?!
