Oooh I just LOVE starting a new year and sussing out new trends. Do you? I’m not going to lie, for the last few years I’ve filled my wardrobe with many trend-based items, and not too many basics.
This year, I’m aiming to gather some quality basics but indulge in a few trend based pieces every now and then. I’ve started collating ideas of what trends I’m interested in, and one of them is a touch of gingham. I love checks, I always have, but this year gingham is really front and centre. If you’re usually a stripes girl, why not try gingham or checks this year?
One thing I love about gingham is that it can be really easy to find in second hand stores or opp shops, too. I’ve included a couple of Etsy vintage finds here, too, to show you what I mean.
Feel free to gingham as much as you’d like to gingham – I love the dresses just as much as I love a touch of check – think a ribbon tied to a bag or a cute top under a jacket for work. If you’re into DIY, a pair of ballet flats can get an update with a check ribbon – very high end designer.
