Today started off slowly around here. Although last year I attended ANZAC Day dawn service, and I had great plans of attending this year, Audrey was up every hour last night and when my husband woke at around 6.30 I hadn’t slept since 4.30am, and thus he thankfully took both children so I could sleep for a little while longer!
ANZAC Day brings forth feelings of sadness, but also thankfulness and gratitude for me. I think of my Pop who was in the navy during World War Two, and passed away when I was 17. He never spoke much about it but when he did I was always both shocked at what he had to do at such a young age; and proud that he fought for our country and freedom. We miss him dearly. Lest we forget.
Today we decided to make use of the beautifully sunny, yet windy and cool weather and take Hannah to the park. I wore this ensemble featuring a few new additions to the wardrobe.
The jeans I’m wearing are from new local label Summer Marberry. Ladies – are you constantly having to get your jeans hemmed (like me!)? Well say hello to this label – each of their jeans styles come in three different lengths to suit a wide range of heights. I’m wearing the shortest length and they’re perfect! This top is a new SheIn find, and this scarf is from another local label, Hunt+Kelly. You need to check out this label – many of their items are under $100, yet are super wearable and classic with an edge. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend xx
