Ever fallen in love with, and then bought a pair of shoes, brought them home, and then couldn’t figure out what to wear with them? Who hasn’t! I certainly have. A lovely reader has done just that and wrote to me wondering what to wear with a gorgeous pair of new brogues she has bought. My first though was skinny or cigarette pants or jeans, however I thought I’d find what sort of dress or skirt would work with them too. I’ve had a look through many style blogs and picked up one almost universally flattering pointer – brogues look great with a flash of ankle, or a shorter hem. They do work well with tights and a shorter dress or skirt, I just wouldn’t wear them with longer pants that cover the ankle or a wider leg pant.
