I have a confession to make: I’ve been hiding something from you for the past few months. Some days it has been easier than others to keep the secret, some days it’s been tough and some days I have just wanted to blurt it out.
So what have I been hiding? Well, a little human, that’s what! Yes, hubby and I are expecting baby number two! I’m currently at 15 weeks.
If you noticed there weren’t many cocktail selfies in Hawaii, or that I haven’t participated in #soniastylinghappyhour for quite sometime, or that I haven’t worn any formfitting garments in at least a month, this is why! I found out at 4 weeks, just as the first time, so it feels like forever that I have had to keep things under wraps, however I must admit I was getting quite good at it! However, with #everydaystyle posts, things were getting a little {stretched} and thus I couldn’t keep the secret for much longer. I am much more of a ‘keep it quiet until it’s official’ type of person – in fact we held off telling anyone at all for 10.5 weeks! So I do hope you forgive me for hiding it so long.
With this baby, it all happened a lot sooner than we expected, however these things happen for a reason and thus it is certainly a blessing. I have been on extended maternity leave, however as I was due to return to work before November, I’ve had to resign. It was a sad day as I did enjoy my full time job, however this is what is right at this time in my life and I have to go with it.
So what does this mean for Pretty Chuffed? Well, nothing will change, except I might be wearing a few more floaty, non-waisted garments for a little while 🙂 I aim to keep up with my everyday style posts, in addition to outfit posts, and I will endeavour to bring you my maternity and pregnancy tips, tricks and updates too. However, don’t despair, non-pregnant lovelies – I’ll still bring you the best fashion, shoes and accessories finds under $100, in addition to my regular moodboards and styling ideas. (And please, if you have any styling questions, ideas or want me to track down something affordable for you, send me an email at prettychuffed@hotmail.com – I always love hearing from Pretty Chuffed readers!)
Thank you for your support and I look forward to bringing you tales from the next chapter of my life.
Jasmine x
