Bright Pink Maxi Dress | What I’m Wearing

Pink. I haven’t really worn too much pink throughout my adult life. Coral, yes. Red, yes. Pink, not so much. When I was a small child I absolutely loved pink and as well as my bedroom, everything I owned was pink. Dresses, hair accessories, dolls, bed coverings. And then I went through my ‘I’m way too cool for pink’ phase and everything was changed to black. I wanted my room painted black too, however my mum was dead against it, thankfully, in hindsight! After that, I never really returned to the colour, and rarely dressed my daughter in the colour when she was a small baby either. Now, however, I’ve suddenly realised I have somehow accumulated a number of pink dresses and tops.

The maxi dress I wore today was on my wish list from the moment I saw it. I actually have the same dress in black and it’s so versatile. It’s a hi-low dress but a relaxed maxi style with a bar across the back, and is super floaty and easy to wear. And shows off your shoes – perfect for framing your new summer sandals!
