Now this was a challenge! The spring racing carnival is upon us, and I thought I’d gather up some looks under $100 to give you some inspiration for dressing for the races on a budget. Dress, headpiece and shoes for under $100? Easy! (Insert crazy bug-eye emoji here…) Actually the most difficult part of this challenge was finding an affordable hat to match the outfits – however I’m loving the headpiece and floral crown look for spring racing – and it’s a super affordable look. If you have a bit more cash, hot looks this year include the fedora or large kitsch headpiece, and netting is back for fascinators. For race wear, pastels are of course huge as is lace and midi skirts – it’s the lady-like look. Super flattering. And of course, you cannot go wrong with black and white – and it’s essential on Derby Day! Here are three ideas for what to wear to the races, all outfits totalling less than $100.
