I have an ever-increasing love for Hawaiian prints. Seriously. I have Hawaiian print shirts at home that went from being cool to mega daggy in the 90s, but instead of throwing them in the nearest Salvos bin I clutched onto them. I am now glad, as it seems vintage or retro Hawaiian and tropical prints are BACK I tell ya, BACK! *throws head back laughing madly*
Ahem, anyway…the trick is to keep it retro – prints on black are cool, try to find cotton fabric (not a cheap stretchy-type material) and wear the print as a top, dress or skirt – paired back with a simple, modern piece such as cute leather or suede shorts, or a simple black top (for a skirt).
