Well, it’s been a long week for us, and it’s going to be another long week – Hannah and I have had a stomach bug which has now gone, thankfully, however it has left Hand, Foot and Mouth in its wake! Apparently it’s very common for young children to get, especially those whom are around other kids a lot (which Hannah is not) or go to daycare or kindy (which Hannah does not). So yes, that’s just our bad luck for you. Recovery involves staying away from other children, i.e so no park, library, swimming pool etc for at least a week until it is all better. So someone please send me chocolate! Anyway, it’s Sunday today which means extra parental help, and thus I can get dressed up and maybe even leave the house!
When Frankie and Co sent me this outfit, it was like they had been reading my mind (well, maybe just my blog) as I totally love it. I’ve been crushing on khaki pants for quite some time and these are a great shape – a slight harem with pop close buttons on the ankles so you can wear them with slimmer ankles, as I have done, or leave them unbuttoned for a more straight-leg version. The top is a wonderful, cover-your-backside-and-front length and is a crepe feel so it can be easily dressed up or down. I’ve tucked it in at the front for a bit of definition at the waist. I’ve paired the pants and top with my old favourites – a leopard print scarf that was a gift from a friend (after I coveted hers so much and wore it to death), and K Mart boots from a few seasons ago. I do hope you’re having a good weekend.
