When the weather starts heating up around this time of year I tend to turn to my favourite wardrobe items – dresses. With Christmas only nine days away and New Years’ Eve two weeks away, I’ve started to turn my thinking towards dresses and especially party dresses and holiday dresses. We’ll be heading up the coast for at least some of our holiday and I’m looking forward to getting to the beach, but also getting in a date night sometime, with the extra (family) baby sitters on hand! Dresses that can go the distance and be dressed up and down are on my wish list.
Today I’ve found 20 festive dresses from local retailers, so there’s every chance you can still order in time for the big days. (Of course, please do check the individual stores’ shipping policy before purchasing to prevent disappointment!)
I’m also wearing one of my favourite finds for you – this is the Tilly two-way dress available at Frankie & Co for $69. It can actually be two ways – simply turn it around for a different look! I’ll be wearing it with the crossover at the front for casual lunch with the family (and it’s very breastfeeding friendly), and for the higher neckline at the front when out at night for a dressier look. Just add earrings and heels and you’re good to go! It’s a very comfortable and stretchy fabric – soft to wear; and I have a feeling it would be so great in a capsule holiday wardrobe – just chuck it on and feel glam in minutes. I’m wearing the M which is a great fit.
