Hello and happy new year! I hope you’ve had a fabulous start to 2017. Ours has started off quiet and slow, however I’m gearing up for a busy year with plenty happening.
At Pretty Chuffed, I’ll continue to feature what I’m wearing daily on Instagram, and I hope to have more time this year to complete features again – mood boards and how to wear features too. I’ll also be publishing weekly outfit posts as normal, and please let me know if you’d like to see anything specific here on the blog – I’m always on the hunt for new ideas, new products and labels. And do let me know if you’re looking for something specific under $100, I love finding all the bargains!
Today I thought I’d try quite a tricky trend – well tricky for a shortie anyway. I’m 158cm, and some say culottes are only for the tall. I beg to differ. You may have noticed here on the blog I tend to wear whatever I feel like, whatever catches my eye. These cropped denim pants with a fray hem caught my eye at SheIn, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the denim.
These pants have an elasticised waist band so they won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and I’m wearing the L and they are a firm fit on me, I’d say they’d be more like a size 10. With that in mind, I thought I’d style them for a casual day at home and a trip to the park. Heels always look great with culottes, so I also styled them separately with heels and a cami. What do you think? Would you give them a go?
