I’m a big fan of food, in general, so when hubby asked if I wanted to check out the new Eat Street Markets yesterday, I was pretty much in the car with the engine running in about 2 minutes flat.
When Eat Street Markets first opened a few years ago we went with a few friends on a Friday night and it was awesome – so many new foods to try and a cool atmosphere.
We have since been a number of times and have enjoyed it each time. If you go nice and early in the evening it’s great for kids too – everyone can eat what they want and there’s no cleaning afterwards – winning!
Eat Street has since moved just up the road to a new and arguably much better venue – lots more room, lots more food stalls and also plenty of places to just sit and relax. There are also shipping containers that have been set up as little function rooms – which I’m told you can reserve/hire out. What a great idea!
The best thing is the markets are now open on Sundays from 11am-7pm which is perfect for taking the kids – we had a brilliant time with the kids yesterday with lovely weather and plenty of room for them to run around.
We had some delicious food at the gluten free stall – Revolver – gluten free fried chicken and then donuts and eclairs! Too good. I wish I wasn’t so full because we honestly could have spent all day eating.
I wore a cute little dress from SheIn that I’ve had for ages now and had just not got around to wearing – I was saving it for an occasion and then when the occasion rolled around the weather wasn’t great so I wore something else. So, what better occasion that a sunny Sunday? It’s very comfortable to wear and I was surprised by the quality – it’s quite a heavy lace and the lining is not uncomfortable which is a bonus!
I’m wearing a L, I would say I’d probably fit into a M now however I’d say an L is a large size 10, maybe a small 12. It’s comfy on me, anyway.
Did you have a good weekend?
