If you have seen my wish list for today, you will notice that I’m kinda digging black and gold at the moment. No, not the Sam Sparro song from 2008 (although I do like that, too), or the no-name grocery brand; but the mix of black and gold apparel and accessories. It might be an influence of the Gucci movement (seriously try reading any fashion magazine or checking out any street style photos without spotting a Gucci loafer, belt or bag!), or potentially drawing on the 80s fashion that is back (hello, shoulder ads!), but whatever it is, I like.
Last night I had about two hours sleep – Audrey has a case of hand, foot and mouth (which is common but still awful), and thus she spent most of the night crying in my arms. Poor little poppet. This morning I woke up and I felt like death warmed up, so I knew I needed a boost with my outfit. I threw on a pair of my Target girlfriend jeans, added a wrap top and some bright lippy and earrings. Then, added a bit of spunk with my new bag from SheIn. Isn’t it great? I’m in love with it. On paper, this outfit would not work – too much volume up top and with the baggier jeans, however I really liked the look and I think the fine straps of the espadrilles balance it out. What do you think?
