There was a saying a few years ago that if you wanted something to be cool, you just put a bird on it. I think bird print then gave way to pineapple print, and now maybe watermelon print? I’m not sure. My love for a good bird print has not died and maybe it’s even back in again now! Is it? I spotted this little top on SheIn and had to give it a try. I love its vintage styling and the elastic waist means it’s good for tucking in to skirts and high waisted shorts. I’m wearing a M and it’s quite true to size with a bit of room in it for me, I’m usually a size 10, but I think it would fit up to a small 12 if you have a smaller bust. It was perfect for today’s #summerstylefile dare with KimbaLikes and SheWrites. I’ve teamed it with some little linen shorts I nabbed at Target for only $19, and some Target slides that were just $15! These shorts are super comfy and light to wear, to be honest I thought linen was more for the older generation, but I am loving it this season – so cool in our humidity.
I decided to get out an about early today however the children just were not cooperating, and we had a major threenager melt down over a piece of metal that she wanted to play with, and I said ‘no’. Oh my goodness! Anyway we did make it out of the house in the end, we did the grocery shopping and we even made it to swimming lessons on time. Phew!
Here’s what I wore today.
*SheIn stripe blouse AUD$21.82 {I’m wearing a M and I am 158cm tall} | *Target linen shorts AUD$19 {I’m wearing 10, true to size}| *Target slides AUD$15 {I’m wearing 7} | Cuffs by From These Hands and Colette.
What print do you love? Are you a bird print, pineapple or watermelon print type of gal? Also, do you wear linen?
*gifted. Target items were chosen by me through my role as a Target Thriftster.
