I know, it comes around so quickly each year (and even quicker, it seems, when you have children!) – Christmas is only a month away! If you’re anything like us, Christmas and the lead-up can be quite busy with events and catch ups with family and friends. Then there’s the Santa photo, and Christmas eve and Christmas day, of course, to think about. Food, gifts, cards… I also like to ensure I have clean and neat outfits for the girls, especially for the events when I know there will be lots of photos taken. And of course, I tend to have a few dressier outfits for Christmas eve/day (depending on what we are doing) and for the photo with Santa!
Hannah is growing so tall, she is now a size 3/4 and is just about to turn three, and Audrey is between a size 1 and 2, and I’ve found she is shaped a little differently to her older sister at the same age, so hand-me-down clothes are not necessarily working for her. I was on the lookout for some cute and affordable Christmas outfits when Marks & Spencer offered the chance to create some Christmas outfits for kids, and I jumped at the chance! I’ve been a long term fan of Marks & Spencer , and I was really happy when the brand started to ship to Australia. The quality of Marks & Spencer clothing is fabulous, the price points are great, and what I love most about the brand is the classic styles and fit of the children’s clothing. It’s age appropriate, while still being fun, on-trend and quite classic.
I browsed the gorgeous Marks & Spencer Christmas outfit collection and was able to create three looks for the girls, suitable for three different Christmas occasions. Despite it being the opposite season, I was still able to find summer-appropriate outfits that will be great for our Christmas events. Check out the full children’s clothing range here, and the Christmas party range here.
The shipping was only $5 from the UK and it arrived within five working days. I was blown away by the quality – it was even better than I remember – the clothing is very well made and the shoes are leather, and look and seem comfortable on the girls.
The three outfits I created were based around three types of occasion – dressy, smart casual and super casual (perfect for a beach or park catch up on Christmas day!). What do you think?
