I love maxi dresses and have many in my wardrobe – they’re the perfect solution when you want something easy wearing yet comfortable and cool on warmer days. How about when it’s still a little cool? I tend to pair my maxi dresses with a denim jacket for warmth and to make it a bit more casual.
Today I decided to wear this gorgeous maxi dress by St Frock – it’s actually quite dressy and would be perfect for a wedding or birthday party (in fact I wore a very similar one pregnant HERE and to a 30th birthday not long after Audrey was born) but today I’m wearing it in a casual outfit. By pairing the dress with a casual, distressed denim jacket and sandals, I’ve made the dress doable for a low key Sunday. (Note: I’m wearing a simple bandeau bra from Kmart underneath – it’s still easy to feed in. I find this dress breastfeeding friendly however it may depend on the size of your bust.) If you were planning on wearing this dress to a more formal occasion, I’d pair it with some strappy heels in a nude or black, some gorgeous drop earrings, some bangles stacked on the arm without the sleeve and a cute clutch.
What have you been up to today? I took the girls to the park this morning (with a coffee pick-up on route) and then came home for some movies and nap times (hopefully for me as well!).
