A little black dress is a wardrobe staple, and a black shirt dress is even more of a staple in my wardrobe. So when I spotted this gorgeous broderie lace shirt dress at St Frock, it was love. This shirt dress is a gorgeous flattering fit, longer in length than a mini but not quite a midi, and it buttons all the way down so is also perfect for breastfeeding. I love the cinched in waist that is actually elasticised in the back so it’s super comfortable. It is easily dressed up or down – I’ve dressed it smart-casually for day time. Don’t be afraid to wear a black dress in summer – the key is to pair it with summer accessories. Tan is perfect with black so this clutch works really well, and I’ve also thrown in some lace up sandals and some light jewellery which adds to the daytime dressy look. Do you wear black in summer?
