As much as I love summer activities – the beach, swimming, outdoor sports, BBQs, festivals; there is something to be said for weekends during winter. It just feels right to cosy up and do not much at all – eat, watch movies, or (in my dreams) take a drive to a winery and sit by the fire tasting wines and eating fine foods (I told you, in my dreams :)). Even if your weekends are filled with kids’ sport or errand running, or doing piles of washing (what I’m really doing whilst dreaming about said drives to beautiful wineries) you can still look cosy and be practical. Jeans, a jumper, boots and a scarf (and a coat if it’s super chilly) are all you need. Here’s four of my fave casual yet smart ideas for what to wear on a winter weekend.
Outfit 1:
Blackfive jumper (one size) US$30
Forever New jeans (size 4 and 8 left) AUD$55, similar here for AUD$90
Spurr boots AUD$30 (on sale)
Outfit 2:
Chicnova coat (size S, M, L) AUD$59.44
Sportsgirl top (sizes XXS-L) AUD$70
Forever New jeans (sizes 4-16) AUD$90
Spurr boots AUD$35 (on sale)
Outfit 3:
Sportsgirl top (sizes XXS-L) AUD$70
Forever New jeans (sizes 4-16) AUD$90
Chicnova coat (size S, M, L) AUD$59.44
Outfit 4:
Sportsgirl top (sizes XXS-L) AUD$70
Forever New jeans (size 4 and 8 left) AUD$55, similar here for AUD$90
Spurr boots AUD$40 (on sale)
What are you usually up to on the weekends during winter?

I just have to say I love these outfits you’ve picked out! I just bought a couple of neutral sweaters and mostly paired them with black, and I was finding it a bit boring, but now I want that tan jacket! And the knee-high boots are gorgeous. And I love your fantasy about wine-tasting beside a fire somewhere. Yep, it’s laundry here too ;p
