When a reader asked me to find her some non-granny, non leggings-like black pants for work, I gladly took up the challenge. You see, I’ve totally been there. Black pants for work were a certain trouble for me when I worked in an office. I found it so difficult to find a pair that suited me, I wore the same cigarette pants for four years, broken zip and everything. Yes, I did that. So, I couldn’t wait to see what was out there, all for under $100. Here’s what I found – 16 of the best black work pants under $100 – I hope you see something you like!
Country Road sateen classic pants (size 4-14) AUD$99.95
MNG high waisted trouser (size 6,8,12,14) AUD$79.95

Atmos&Here zip pants (size 6-16) AUD$52.46
Dorothy Perkins Naples trousers AUD$39.95
Country Road stretch pants (size 4-14) AUD$99.95
Portmans straight leg suit pant AUD$89.95
Forcast straight leg pants AUD$59.95

Such a helpful post! I also like the Dannii Minogue PETITES range at Target for black pants <$100 and which I don't have to get tailored because they're already made for shorties like me 😉
June 3, 2015 at 9:01 amThat said my current pair seem to attract white fibres and dust- not sure from where but I swear I need to use the lint (sp?) roller on them more than any other pair of black work pants I've had!
Hehe I always have to get pants and jeans taken up – I havw a sewing machine so usually do it myself – but I’m also loving the petites range!
June 3, 2015 at 3:01 pmFinding the perfect pair of black pants is akin to finding the perfect pair of jeans or LBD or lipstick – the hunt is never ending! I’m a huge fan of Forever New for black pants. They always have a few different styles in stock and are generally under $90. And my tip? If you find a pair you love, buy at least 2 of them!
June 3, 2015 at 10:57 amGreat tips Sonia! I do love Forever New also, I have neglected to include them however I’m glad you mentioned them. And yes, I wholeheartedly agree on buying two pairs!
