You might have noticed that chambray is huge again – from pants and shirts to shorts, skirts and dresses. Denim shirts have been on the scene for at least two or three years now, and have now become a staple in the wardrobe – either worn as a shirt with pants, skirts or shorts, or as a loose jacket over dresses. Now, I’m seeing more and more chambray shirt dresses crop up – combining two trends at once – chambray and shirt dresses. I’ve waxed lyrical about my love of shirt dresses before, so I’ll save you from that again, but I must add that a chambray shirt dress will also work really well into the cooler months layered with scarves, ankle boots and a felt hat.
