When I first laid my eyes on this cape, I was in love. And then I checked the price. It’s priced at over $100 and thus I tossed up whether or not to include it on the blog. It hung, forlornly, in my wardrobe for too long, with me taking peeks at it and staring at it every so often, along with frequent ‘tryings on’. And then today, with the Fox in Flats dare ‘brightest’ I simply couldn’t resist. It is by St Frock’s own label, Chasing Kate, which is think is such a fab idea. Of course, the dress and shoes are all under $100 and I have also included a similar, under $100 buy for the cape, to get the look for less.
I love capes and kimonos. This one today is dressing up this casual slip-like dress, keeping me warm on this cooler Brisbane day (thank you storm!) and making me feel like I have an air of mystery about me. Which is really important as we’re off to nursery rhymes at the library today. Haha. #mumlyf 🙂 It’s also a perfect day to night outfit, with a change of shoes I could be off to a glitzy Christmas party! Or a movie, or just a glass of house sav blanc at the local bowls club. Anyway, I love it, it’s a perfect day to night party outfit.

this cape is amazing but as a bargain hunter, a little out of the price range. I SO want to do the fitted singlet dress + cape look but it just looks wanky on me!
