I sent out a request on the Pretty Chuffed Facebook page a few days ago asking for ideas for occasions to tailor outfits to, to star in my new column of outfits under $100. I had some really great suggestions, ranging from a first date to a lunch with grandma, of which I will cover over the next few months on the blog. One of the suggestions for an outfit was what to wear to a job interview, so I thought I’d start with that, since it can be super tricky.
The outfits under $100 in this column will include at least the clothes and shoes totalling $100 or less, and all will be available online. Accessories such as bags or jewellery may not be included in the $100, but I’ll see what I can find!
So without further ado, here’s what to wear to a job interview (under $100)!
I usually like to wear a pencil skirt and button up blouse to a job interview, as it looks feminine and serious but not too stuffy. I’ve never been into wearing a full suit, it’s just too hot in Brisbane! If the interview requires a jacket for the interview, I’d suggest wearing a dress and a jacket; or perhaps a printed pant, white shirt and a plain jacket – that way you don’t need a full suit and look a bit more modern, whilst still looking professional. Black and white are obvious choices as they look clean and professional. The key is in the details – I love pieces which are a little bit different and show a bit of personality. Here’s some affordable outfit ideas.

Do any of these outfits take your fancy? What do you like to wear to a job interview?
