What to Wear To an Autumn/Winter Wedding | Outfit Ideas

Every year I receive a number of emails asking for ideas for what to wear to a winter wedding. I’ve covered this before in a number of mood boards (check here or here), so I thought what better topic to cover in my first outfit ideas moodboard of the year.

Now, I live in Brisbane, and we usually get about two weeks of cold weather per year – that’s if we’re lucky. So I must say these outfits are really designed for a milder autumn or winter wedding – however many of these could be made warmer by the addition of one of the outerwear options and/or some ankle boots (try a pointed toe for a new season update).

I have played with the idea of new season colours in blush pink and maroon – big colours this season and any of these outfits would also work well in spring too (yes I know it’s still autumn however I know some of you like to plan ahead!). The big news is, arguably, is that pants are back, and if you’re not a dress gal you will find so many styles of pants in the shops at the moment that are just perfect for dressier events. I love these side slip palazzo pants and I think they look so elegant. Maxi dresses work well for more formal events, and the midi skirt and top combo would be perfect for a day occasion, I think.
