Do you have a colour that you just cannot say no to? I am all about NAVY. I just cannot go past it for special occasions. It’s just as flattering as black (yet warmer on my skin tone), is appropriate for just about any occasion and is practical, too.
Yesterday the hubby and I attended an engagement party and I had my eye on this St Frock ‘Cascade’ dress in navy, and it’s is even better in person. A flattering yet unique cut, it’s comfortable to wear, yet a dressy fabric. It’s a flattering length – and would be perfect for cocktail or formal occasions. I’ve dubbed it my perfect $90 navy special occasion frock!
The back straps are not adjustable, but they are elasticised so it is quite comfortable, and it also has padding in the chest so you don’t need to wear a bra. I found once I was in the dress it was really comfy and I felt elegant and occasion appropriate.
I wore it with some clear heels, chain earrings and a simple raffia clutch to dial the girliness down a little – if you were wearing it to a formal occasion, some simple nude heels, box clutch and drop earrings would be amazing.
Hubby and I had a wonderful time at the engagement party, thanks to our lovely babysitters!
