Marie Navy Shirt Dress and Tan | What I’m Wearing

March 11, 2016

Today I hit the jackpot – both children went down for naps at THE SAME TIME! Yessiree madam. That’s the parenting jackpot right there. It’s the middle of the day relief needed on a rainy, cabin-feverish day! Last night I had planned to wear this gorge shirt dress kindly gifted from Little Party Dress today, as I had plans to get out and about, to the park, to the shops and everything. But, it has rained pretty much all day and kids + rain + in and out of car seats = not fun at all. So, I decided to stay in, but still wear the dress and the outfit I had planned. Because why not? This dress is beautiful on, very flowy and lightweight, beautiful rich navy and easy to unbutton buttons. Also loving the sleeveless style which works with the 70s aesthetic and the cool shell print further ups the retro game. Rainy days are made for boots and if you’re in humid Brissy, like I am, toe-less boots or mules are your best bet for Autumn. I’ve had these for quite a while now and they’re really comfy. And mamas, no need to give up your clutch bags when you need to upgrade to a large tote or nappy bag! I simply chuck my wallet, phone, lippy and sunnies into one of my fave clutches and chuck it into my larger tote – it keeps my ‘personal’ things together and looks cute if you go out without the kids in tow. Hope you’re having a rad Friday!

Any recommendations for a good nappy bag? I have been searching for one for months and have not found anything I like at a reasonable price. Thanks!

Hi Nicole! I actually use a big tote bag and little bags inside to compartmentalise everything. I then have a mat which I tuck inside (taken from another nappy bag). I do have a large nappy bag bought from Mimco when they had a sale. However I have noticed Colette sells baby bags now and they’re under $80 – I like this one http://www.colettehayman.com.au/mobile/shop/baby-travel-bag-id36995.html Best of luck, sounds like an idea for a blog post!
