When it warms up, I like to replace my fave statement scarves for necklaces – how about you? I find having a few cheerful yet sparkly and/or colourful necklaces on hand can take an outfit from drab to interesting in two seconds flat. I was worried having children would mean I no longer could wear my statement necklaces, however I find if I don’t spend too much on them, and then if they get pulled or played with it’s not the end of the world. In addition, if you do have little children, wearing child-friendly necklaces made of wood, rubber, cloth or rope can actually be good distractions for restless toddlers (with adult supervision of course!). And of course, you still need a sparkly find or two to jazz up your party dresses for special occasions! I find just throwing one of these on makes me feel more dressed up, even if I am wearing jeans and a simple top, or a plain shift dress.
