The Casual and Comfortable Outfit I’m Loving | What I’m Wearing

August 24, 2015

Today we drove back from the Sunshine Coast and I wanted to wear something comfortable for the car (which is not that easy for me to find these days!), yet something that would take me to a doctors appointment for Hannah and also look stylish enough for a quick coffee in Noosa. I looked to this outfit by Metalicus – and it was perfect. If you haven’t tried Metalicus before, you must know that the fabrics are simply gorgeous and are perfect for just washing and wearing – they’re so easy to throw on. And they last. While I love my fast fashion and super bargains, sometimes I find I like to spend a bit more on pieces that I will wear many times, and for many years. It’s all about the cost per wear – and these babies will be getting quite a run in my spring/summer wardrobes! I’m currently eyeing off a few more pieces in the range – including a tank dress which will be great for summer too. What I love most about these pieces is that they’re also great for maternity wear (and as they’re not ‘maternity’, I’ll wear them for long after the baby is born). I love this outfit together with some casual shoes, however I can also imagine the skirt with a simple singlet and sandals, or a dressier top and wedges for summer; and the t-shirt is a great length – perfect for pairing with jeans or shorts. And so comfortable – they really move with you and are not restrictive at all. Last night, Hannah was up every half and hour or so – she is unwell the poor little thing and so we all had no sleep, so having something easy to wear and a bit luxurious was another bonus today. (Now I just need a coffee!)
