The must-have shoe of the season, and probably the year, is the pointed pump (or the pointed court shoe, or just pointy heel). Whatever you call them, they’re back. Actually, did they ever leave? I’m so glad after seasons of chunky and moderately unflattering heels filling up stores we’re finally seeing a major resurgence of the leg-lengthening pointed court. (Don’t worry ladies who are not heel-lovers, pointed flats are also dead on trend too!)
If you do wear heels to work or play, and you haven’t a pair of neutral court shoes, now is your chance to update your shoe-drobe and bag a pair. Black is an easy option, especially for work, however nude or beige is super flattering and is the colour of the season – pair with some lighter-wash jeans and an oversized shirt or knit top for a look that is straight New York Fashion Week street style. Animal print is also a great option and especially if you tend to wear a lot of monochrome or block colours, an animal print pair will lighten things up a little.
