Fast Five With What The Teacher Wears | Talking Bargains

October 8, 2014

When I was in primary school in the 90s, my favourite teacher wore trouser-shorts, a short sleeved button-up shirt and long socks to school every day. Every day. I can’t remember what the female teachers were wearing, but I know it was nowhere near as fashionable as the stunning blogger Alex of What The Teacher Wears! A primary school teacher and stylist, Alex is certainly one very stylish lady. She can rock a midi skirt like nobody’s business and is the brain behind #printedpantsfriday – who says work slacks have to be black? Her style is feminine with an edge and often a serious dose of colour. Follow her on Instagram here @whattheteacherwears for more gorgeous inspo. I am super excited to feature Alex today. So without further ado, here is the Fast Five With What The Teacher Wears!

1. You’re headed on a mystery weekend away! What three things go into your weekend bag first?

Whenever I am going somewhere, even for a night, I always over pack so this is a very tough question. Since I have to choose 3 my first would be a maxi dress that I could wear dressed up or casual, MAC concealer and my Samsung phone.

2. What’s your Spring must-have?

My must have for spring is anything with the term ‘midi’. That may be a midi skirt, dress or heel.

3. What’s currently at the top of your wardrobe wish list?

I don’t have one item in particular more a store. Zara has finally opened here in Queensland at Robina on the Gold Coast. I can’t wait to get in there and buy, buy, buy!!

4. What is your all time, best-ever bargain?

My best ever bargain would’ve been about 6 years ago. I was in Myer in the shoe department and found a pair of Marc Jacobs silver mouse ballet flats in the clearance section. They were originally $520 reduced to $240 with 40% off. I think I nearly cried when I spotted them.

5. You have been given $100 to splash on yourself. Where do you click or visit first?

I would head to straight to Glassons as I know I would get some great buys for $100.
