Fast Five With The Daily Mark | Talking Beauty

I’ve always been somewhat of a beginner with beauty products. Growing up, my mum was never much into makeup (except for maybe a swipe of ‘Natural Glow’ [try saying that without a Kiwi accent!] some mascara and a bit of lippy for special occasions), so I’m always on the search for information and tips on what products to use, and how. Enter The Daily Mark, my new favourite beauty, tech and lifestyle blog. Beauty and tech buff Madeleine Burke is the brains behind the beauty, and posts daily on the latest products and how to use them; alongside some pretty sweet app and tech advice. The Daily Mark’s Instagram account (@thedailymark) is another favourite, if not just for the super cute pics of Madeleine’s pug Wilma! Pretty Chuffed had a quick chat with Madeleine all about her favourite products and best bargains (before she jets off to the Caribbean next month – so jelly!).

So here goes, the Fast Five With The Daily Mark!

1. You’re headed on a mystery weekend away! What three things would you throw in your weekend bag?

Oh gosh only three?! It would have to be the Kate Somerville CC Cream as it’s a great SPF, gives a radiant, medium coverage and doesn’t take up much room. Next would be the Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder as it keeps my hair looking bouncy and fab even if I haven’t been able to brush it, and lucky last my Zara wet look jeans. Things like toothpaste and deodorant I can get when I’m there!

2. What’s your current winter must have?

Elizabeth Arden Nourishing Lip balm, it works SO well! There’s nothing worse than dry, painful smackers.

3. What are you most looking forward to wearing/doing come warmer weather?

We’re headed to the Caribbean in September, too excited! What am I looking forward to most about summer coming? Swimming, fruit platters, afternoon beer sessions and bbq’s with friends.

4. What’s your best ever bargain?

Oo I still think the Rimmel Wake Me Up! Concealer is terrific for the price. I literally use it every day.

5. You’ve got $100 to splash on yourself. Where do you click or visit first?

Probably Lazy Oaf, Feel Unique or a great restaurant. I’d be pretty stoked with any of those options!
